New Moon. Lunar New Year. Year of the Fire Horse.

There is something beautifully aligned about this dark moon arriving at the gateway of a new lunar cycle — and with it, the turning of the wheel into the Year of the Fire Horse.

New Moons are thresholds.
A quiet inhale before the spark.
A moment to plant seeds in the unseen.

And the Fire Horse… she doesn’t tiptoe.
She is movement.
Instinct.
Untamed momentum.
A blaze of courage and forward spirit.

I can’t help but feel this one personally

I grew up with horses, and the Fire Horse carries me back to those years — galloping across the windswept hills of the Lammermuir Moors. Wide skies overhead. The rush of hooves beneath me. The kind of freedom that settles deep in your bones long after you’ve dismounted.

I’m sure that was partly where my wild spirit was cultivated.
Not reckless — but alive.
Listening. Trusting. Moving from instinct.

This New Moon feels like a remembering

An invitation to reconnect with the part of you that knows how to run.
The part that doesn’t need permission.
The part that carries fire — not to burn everything down, but to light the way forward.

What is ready to move in you?
What spark has been quietly waiting for breath?

May this New Moon bring clarity.
May this Lunar New Year bring courage.
And may the Fire Horse remind you to run toward what calls.
